This guide covers the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just prior to Thotar gives you a taming Rod for just a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar provides you with a number of 3 taming rods, every one is different and allows you tame beasts in the next order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and finally an Armored Scorpid.

Upon getting accomplished the taming Element of the Quest chain, you must head to Orgrimmar and speak to Ormak Grimshot while in the Valley of Honor to be able to unlock your companion pet managing abilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; directory Revive Pet; and Beast Training.
